PROGRAMMING Application programs for the DAT500 may be developed and tested on a standard Personal Computer in a Windows ® environment. The development system allows easy screen design and management, with complete libraries to handle peripherals and communication. COMMUNICATIONS DAT500 can be connected to any host computer running Windows ®, Unix or MS-DOS ® as follows: locally by means of: - six position docking station - single desktop cradle - RS232 cable remotely by means of: - built-in wireless GSM/GPRS or GPRS cellular system (optional) - PCMCIA modem for wired communication Several DAT500s may be daisy chain connected to a single RS232 port of the host computer. A specific communication program manages completely unattended data communication. It is also possible to exchange data and program files using Flash and RAM PCMCIA cards like common diskettes. |
