DAT300-EX is a rugged and modular hand held computer designed to operate in hazardous environments.
It is designed to operate in potentially explosive atmospheres like in oil plants, oil refineries, natural gas distribution stations, chemical industries where flammable gases of group B and A (all except H2, C2H2, CS2 ) may be continuously or occasionally present.
The DAT300-EX is certified as EEX ia IIB T3, according to the harmonised European standards for electrical apparatus for potentially explosive atmospheres EN 50014 - 1992 general requirements and EN 50020 - 1994 intrinsic safety "i".
Its unique rugged removable memory module allows to exchange data in the field with the host computer or other DAT300s.
It is derived from the DAT300 product series having the same modular architecture:

• main module with CPU, LCD and keyboard
• removable data cassette for mass storage
• removable and rechargeable battery pack
