REMOVABLE DATA CASSETTE
It is used to store and retrieve programs and data, just a as a common PC
diskette.
It may be used to transfer data and programs among several DAT300s and between
a DAT300 and a PC. It consists of a battery backed-up Static Ram, with special
circuitry to guarantee data integrity when removed from the DAT300. Various
memory sizes and technologies (i.e. Flash Eprom) are available.
You may read and write data to/from a PC by mounting the removable memory
module onto a DAT300 connected to the PC via RS232 port or you may use the
specific P119 interface to connect many of them directly to a PC with a
dedicated interface board.
