DAT500 can be connected to any host computer running Windows®, Unix or MS-DOS® by means of: the six position racks that may be cascaded to a single RS232 port of the Host Computer the single cradles a PCMCIA modem for wired analog and ISDN telephone lines or for cellular phones a simple RS232 cable  It is also possible to exchange data and program files through Flash and RAM PCMCIA cards using them like a common diskette.  Racks for communication and battery charging

DAT500 runs  DR-DOS and LINUX Operating Systems DR-DOS The DAT500 application programs may be developed and tested on a Personal Computer in Windows® environment using C language and Mobile Builder®  The development system includes the libraries for high level management of the built-in peripherals and the communications. LINUX Application Programs under Linux may be developed using C language and OpenGUI.
